The Family Healthcare Technicians and Technologists (FHTT) was released on the 8th of November 2024 and proudly announces its commitment to fostering a well-trained healthcare workforce in Nigeria. Officially registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) under Registration Number 7084936.
FHTT is poised to revolutionise healthcare training in partnership with institutions of higher learning. Recognised and accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), FHTT is authorised to offer National Diploma (ND) programmes through collaborations with mono-technic and polytechnics nationwide. This initiative aligns with Nigeria’s educational and healthcare goals by bridging the skills gap in healthcare services.
Role in Healthcare Education
Unlike traditional institutions, FHTT does not directly engage with students. Instead, we serve as a regulatory and facilitative body, working closely with accredited institutions to ensure the highest standards in training healthcare professionals. This model allows us to focus on empowering educational institutions with the tools, frameworks, and curricula needed to produce competent and highly skilled healthcare technicians and technologists.
Partnership with the Environmental Health Council of Nigeria (EHCON)
in a significant stride, FHTT has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Environmental Health Council of Nigeria (EHCON). This partnership underscores our shared commitment to improving public health through the integration of healthcare and environmental health disciplines. Together, we aim to cultivate professionals who are equipped to address the challenges of a dynamic healthcare landscape.
Why FHTT Matters.
The demand for well-trained healthcare technicians and technologists has never been greater. With FHTT’s accreditation and partnerships, institutions gain access to a structured framework that ensures their graduates are industry-ready and meet national standards. Our focus areas include:
Curriculum development tailored to industry needs.
Accreditation support for institutions offering healthcare programs and capacity-building initiatives to enhance the skills of educators and trainers.
The Family Healthcare Technicians and Technologists (Formally known as the Health Technicians programmed) invites stakeholders across the healthcare and education sectors to collaborate in advancing this critical mission. Together, we can equip the next generation of professionals training to deliver exceptional healthcare services, ensuring a healthier future for all Nigerians. “Join us in Transforming Healthcare Training”
